Datta Peeta incident: demand to arrest wrongdoers

Hazrat Dada Hayat Meer Khalandar Committee President Siraj Hussain has urged to arrest those who have mounted Bhagawadhwaja at the restricted area of Inam Dattatreya Peeta Baba Budangiri Dargah premises on Datta Jayanti recently.

Addressing reporters here on Tuesday, Siraj said that stern legal action should be initiated against the violators of the law. The incident is pre-planned as was politically motivated, he alleged. The mounting of a saffron coloured flag was intended to provoke communal feelings so as to disturb the peace and order, he said.

He meanwhile dared C T Ravi to make public the government records pertaining to Datta Peeta which claims to date back to 1913. "We too are in possession of documents related to the regime of Tipu Sultan in 1787 and we are ready for an open discussion based on the same".

Hazrat Dada Hayat Meer Khalandar Committee Head has urged to grant permission to observe the Uroos in Baba Buden Giri which is three months hence.

Leaders Mubakar, Aurang Pasha, Muhammed Safwan, Shamshuddin and Yusuf Hazi were present among others.
