Mysore SP Ramasubba on Monday informed the media that Srihari, a trader was waylaid by a group of youth last month in Hunsur in Mysore district. The group assaulted Srihari and robbed Rs 21 lakh from him. The trader was returning to Mysore after his routine collection from Kodagu and the neighbouring Kerala state.
The police had constituted a special team that tracked mobile phones of the accused, who were later arrested on Sunday. The accused hail from Mysore and Mandya districts.
