Addressing a news conference here on Sunday, he said it was common that leaders talk on political issues; but some leaders taking about personal life and targeting one particular family is not at all acceptable. This reflects the ‘culture’ of BJP. “Let the BJP leaders introspect what they are doing without advising others”.

‘Lack courtesy’

Revanna said the BJP leaders lacked courtesy of meeting family of Shivappa, a CRPF jawan who along 74 others had been killed by Maoists in Chhattisgarh recently, and never bothered to offer their condolences.

He took strong objection to Eshwarappa’s statement on the wives of Revanna, Siddaramaiah and H D Deve Gowda and termed it as a ‘bad taste’. The State BJP chief did not know how to talk.  His true colours will be known after May 18 when the results of GP polls are out. “We have invited Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa for an open debate on the achievements of his government in the last two years. But, the CM has not shown any interest”.

Hollow assurances

He also accused the NDA and BJP governments that ruled the country of betraying the citizens in many ways. They cheated the people by raining assurances through sugar coated words. It will be a great disaster if the present government continues, he claimed.
Revanna predicted the fall of BJP government in the State due to internal bickering, after the GP polls.

The ministers who are supporting Yeddyurappa now will desert him. Eshwarappa will control the chief minister, which is the bone of contention here, he stated.
