Social media message by Bajrang Dal warning girls goes viral

A social media post stating that it is the last warning issued for girls in and around Mudigere has gone viral.

Warning girl students, the post urged them not to roam with boys from other religions or else they will face the music. "You may have hundreds of reasons, which we do not require. Hindu dharma is important for us. It is our duty to protect our dharma," #Dharmo rakshithi rakshitha #Mudigere Bajrang Dal, read the post.

Parents missing

Meanwhile, the parents of Dhanyasri, a girl who had committed suicide in Mudigere have gone missing for the last two days. The house at Chantramaidana is locked said neighbours.

After carrying out the last rites of their daughter at Beejuvalli crematorium, father Yadav Suvarna, mother Saraswathi and relatives had returned to their house. However, they have been missing since Monday morning and not reachable, said a neighbour.

Meanwhile, the students of D S Biligowda Government First Grade College staged a protest and demanded death sentence for the accused who had driven Dhanyasri to commit suicide.

The suspect, M V Anil, whom the police had arrested on the charges of abetting the suicide had taken part in the final rites of Dhanyasri. BJP Yuva Morcha Town President M V Anil along with four others had been to Dhanyasri's house and had harassed her objecting to her friendship with a boy from other community, according to police.
