As many as 6 BJP backed candidates bagged the directors’ position out of 12 total seats, thereby bringing DCC Bank administration into hands of BJP. Despite the victory, all strategies of BJP went in vain because both S L Dharmegowda and DCC Bank former president S L Bhojegowda emerged victorious despite all efforts.

There was a close fight between Congress District President M L Murthy and JD(S) Leader S L Bhojegowda but finally Bhojegowda bagged the seat with a difference of one vote.
Bhojegowda bagged a total of 5 votes while Murthy got 4 votes, out of the total 9 votes cast in Chikmagalur constituency.

A close fight was seen between Belli Prakash who joined BJP quitting JD(S) and Bank former Director T D Sathyan at Kadur taluk. However, Sathyan bagged 7 votes and defeated Belli Prakash with a margin of one vote.

Tarikere fell into BJP hands with R Rajashekar defeating N Raju of Congress. While Rajashekar bagged 5 votes Raju could get only 2 votes. Remaining candidates Sathishchandra, Ravikumar and Murugendrappa did not get even a single vote.
In N R Pura, Venkatesh, backed by BJP won the seat with 3 votes as against his contender Hiriyanna who bagged 2 votes.

In Sringeri, K S Ramesh of JD(S) and Anil Kumar Gowdar of BJP bagged two votes each. Hence, a chit was drawn and the seat was bagged by Ramesh as the luck was with the JD(S).

BJP’s S N Ramaswamy bagged 4 votes out of total 6 votes in TAPCMS. T E Manjunath of JD(S) bagged 2 votes.

Birur former MLA S L Dharmegowda defeated his contender Vasudevappa with huge margin. Dharmegowda bagged 135 votes out of 160 votes while Vasudevappa bagged only 25 votes. Another contender S G Ramappa failed to get even a single vote.

N J Jayaram was unanimously elected from Mudigere taluk. K S Ravindra got elected unanimously from Koppa. Both Ravindra and Jayaram recently joined BJP from JD(S).
The Bank Managing Board has elected 10 directors along with Co-operative Sub Registrar and nominated member of Apex Bank. At present, there are 12 seats in DCC Bank of which BJP had bagged 6 seats already. Since the sub registrar and nominated member cast their vote as per the direction of ruling party, BJP coming to power at the DCC Bank is some what sure.
