National award for painting

KORATAGERE: Shivakumar Kesaramadu's painting has been selected for Central government's Lalit Kala Akademi's national award.

Kesaramadu's I Can't Control My Passion which was exhibited during the 59th annual art exhibition has been selected for the award.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh and a citation.

Kesaramadu, who obtained the degree from Ravindra Kalaniketan, is the founding secretary of Raviverma Chitrakalashale, Mysuru.

He has participated in many state and national-level painting exhibitions. He is a recipient of Karnataka Lalithakala Acadamy.

He has served as the member of Karnataka Lalithakala Acadamy.
