Bengaluru: A gang assaulted a police constable with lethal weaplons while he was on duty in Padarayanapura on Tuesday night.
The constable, Rajendra, attached to JJ Nagar police station, is stated to be in critical condition. He went to Padarayanapura in a Hoysala patrol vehicle to attend a complaint about 15 men creating nuisance, when he was assaulted.
Additional Commissioner of Police (West) B K Singh and DCP (West) M N Anucheth visited the spot and took stock of the situation. A special team has been formed to nab the miscreants.
