Wipro stock slips over 2% post Q3 results

Wipro on Monday slipped over 2% on Indan stock exchanges, after it posted an 8.4% fall in its consolidated net profit for the third quarter ending December 2017.

While the stock settled at the BSE for the day at Rs 320.80, down 2.33% from the previous close, the company's  stock closed at Rs 322.20 a unit, down 2.05% on the NSE.  

During the session, the BSE witnessed Wipro share falling as much as 3.27% to touch an intra-day low of Rs 317.70 a piece. In terms of equity volume, 7.32 lakh shares of the company were traded on the BSE and over 45.72 lakh scrips changed hands on the NSE during the day.

For the third quarter, Wipro's consolidated net profit fell 8.4% to Rs 1,936 crore. Its net profit (attributable to shareholders) stood at Rs 2,115 crore a year ago.
