JOIN USThe Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) will upload FIRs online within 24 hours in keeping with Supreme Court guidelines, it stated in an affidavit filed before the High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday.
It, however, stated that details of some FIRs cannot be uploaded online considering the sensitivity of the matter, and sought an exception for them.
A division bench of acting Chief Justice H G Ramesh and P S Dinesh Kumar was hearing a petition filed by Umapathi S who argued that the ACB and the BMTF were not uploading FIRs online.
At the last hearing, the ACB informed the court it had issued a circular asking its officers to upload copies of FIRs within 24 hours of registration of cases, except in "sensitive" cases, in keeping with the apex court guidelines.
The bench disposed of the matter.
