He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the annual day celebration of the Kudige Sainik School near here on Saturday. “Students should inculcate the values of Field Marshal K M Kariappa and General Thimmaiah, who dedicated their life for the security of the nation. It was dream of every citizens in Kodagu district that a Sainik School should be opened in the district. With the opening of Kudige Sainik School, the dreams of the people have realised,” he said. The government has sanctioned Rs 40 crore for the development of school, he informed. A total of Rs 15 crore has already been released and the work is in progress, he added.
School Principal Lieutenant Commandant Veersingh, Registrar M P S Solanki and Koodumangalur Gram Panchayat Member M B Jayanth were present.
