PE teacher kills self over unhappy engagement

A 32-year-old physical education teacher reportedly committed suicide by drinking poison laced with alcohol at a paying guest accommodation in KP Agarahara on Saturday.

The staff of the paying guest accommodation found Veeranna unconscious and rushed him to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead, the police said.

Veeranna hailed from Banahatti in Bagalkot district and was employed at a private school in KP Agarahara.

The police suspect Veeranna had committed suicide as he was unhappy over his recent engagement.
