It seems to be a new trend these days! We are talking about product launches being coupled with music and dance performances. Same was the case during the launch of an eco-friendly brick called Aerocon Blocks by Hyderabad Industries Limited recently.

The serious business event, meant for professionals from the industry, had its share of light moments in the form of sensuous Russian dancers who took the stage.  Pretty girls dressed in white shirts and green mini skirts (signifying environment friendliness) waited at the entrance and greeted the guests. The event started a bit late thanks to the heavy downpour in the City that prevented many a guests from being on time.

The first programme for the evening was a series of Russian dances. Dressed in striking red and black costumes, the Russian dancers sizzled on stage even though their dance seemed more like a belly dance than a traditional Russian dance. Later, the band Indian Ocean entertained the guests with its popular tracks.

Since it was the launch of an eco-friendly brick, the event was filled with messages on global warming. Either it would be the host of the evening asking the audience on whether they do their bit towards the environment, or some audio-visual on steps to preserve the environment. “I always tell people to use, reuse and recycle,” said an architect sitting in the audience. “The most important thing is to reduce waste, save water and electricity by switching off fans and lights,” he added.

The best was undoubtedly saved for last with one of the most popular bands of the country — Indian Ocean, taking the stage. Fresh from the success of their recently-released rockumentary, the band started with their cult classic Arre Ruk Ja Re Bande.
The artistes then went on to play a beautiful instrumental. Be it Jhini, Marewa or Melancholic Ecstasy, the band belted out one hit song after another. By the end of the show, Indian Ocean surely had the audiences smiling.
