JOIN USMangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodbidri, will be organising its annual state-level intercollegiate cultural, technical and management fest- Sentia 2018-on March 28 and 29.
This edition of state-level fest will witness talents across Karnataka and participate in a total of 65 events, being conducted simultaneously in 10 different venues over a span of two days. Around 2,100 students from 47 engineering and management institutes across Karnataka have already registered for the event.
The two-day fest includes traditional, modern and ultra-modern forms of literary, cultural, art, off-beat, technical and management events. Multiple events are conducted in various categories of dance, music, literary, art, theatre and gaming events. Management and technical events across the domains of computers, electronics, mechanical, aeronautical and civil are also organised. Special events like Robo Wars, 3D Modeling, and Creative Modeling will test the skills of students from engineering colleges. Unique events like Battle of Bands, wherein the invited teams will be battling out in the musical category.
The gala two-day event will be concluded on the evening of March 29, with the one of its kind Sentia Award Nite, with popular playback singer Sonu Nigam giving a live performance. Also there will be a showcase of best dance performances in the event.
The Award Nite in the previous years had shows by famous playbacks singers like Shreya Ghoshal, Ankit Tiwary, Benny Dayal, Neeti Mohan and Sunidhi Chauhan. The total prize money for this edition of Sentia is about Rs 10 lakh.
The two-day event will be inaugurated by Vinu Sekhar R J, Vice President and HR Head, Evry India Pvt Ltd., Bengaluru and Rajesh Chouta, Chairman, Rajalaxmi Education Trust, Mangaluru. The annual day of MITE will be held on March 31.
