Former cricketer Anil Kumble's wife Chethana filed a complaint before the Cubbon Park police station against The Time Keepers Watch Boutique company in Mumbai for selling two watches worth Rs 32.96 lakh by using her PAN card.

In her complaint, Chethana stated that she visited Zimson Times Pvt Ltd in UB City in July 2016 to buy a Franck Muller watch. She was told by store staffer Sathya Vagishwar that they had no stock of the watch and that they would source it from Time Keepers Watch Boutique in Mumbai.

After a few days, Vagishwar received the watch from Mumbai. Chethana liked the design and handed over a cheque of Rs 8 lakh in favour of Time Keepers Watch Boutique along with her PAN details.

When she recently checked her income tax details, she learnt that her PAN card was misused. Her Form 26 indicated a purchase of watches worth Rs 32.96 lakh. The tax records of Time Keepers Watch Boutique showed a similar transaction.

Following her complaint, the police booked the Mumbai-based boutique under IPC section 406 (criminal breach of trust) and IPC 420 (cheating) and are investigating.
