Sonu Nigam enthrals students at MITE

The eleventh edition of the annual state-level inter-collegiate cultural, technical and management fest of Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE)- Sentia 2018, came to a grand closure on Thursday evening with a gala live performance  by Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam. The valedictory ceremony witnessed prizes being announced for 63 events that were conducted during the two days, in which 1,850  students from 48 different engineering and management colleges across Karnataka participated.

The champions were awarded a trophy with the winning cheque at the closure of the ceremony. The overall championship in the engineering category was won by NMAMIT Nitte. The team also won a cash prize of Rs 25,000.

The overall champions in the management studies were AJ Institute of Management Studies, Mangaluru. The team won a cash prize of Rs 10,000.

The runner-up trophy in the engineering category was given to St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, along with a cash prize of Rs 20,000. The runner-up in the management studies category was won by Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management  with a cash prize of Rs 8,000. The winners of various music competitions were given their awards by Sonu Nigam. The show also witnessed various dance performances and a two-hour music performance  by Sonu Nigam.
