They have qualified themselves for Rs 15 lakh award from the State government for their fete.
A total of 34 candidates had filed nomination for 17 seats of Itnal Gram Panchayat. Panchayat secretary Umesh Pol, Channappa Magdum, Mahesh Bennali, Suresh Mutnal, Siddappa Sundholi, Gopal Terdal, Siddappa Byakud and Mallappa Pujari conducted a meeting and two groups contesting the elections agreed to elect nine and eight members from each of the group unopposed.
Monday was also the last day for withdrawal of nomination papers and candidates of both the groups agreed to withdraw the papers .
