Sindhu has bagged distinction in PCME (Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Electronics) stream. She is the daughter of Santhosh Shetty and Surekha Shetty of Ladyhill in the city.

“I feel very happy and proud. My parents too are happy for my achievement. I thank all lecturers, who taught me at St Aloysius College, because it was their strong support which helped me to bag success,” Sindhu told Deccan Herald over phone.

“I did not attend any tuition classes or any other coaching classes outside. Instead, I learnt topics sitting in regular classes at St Aloysius College only,” she asserted.

“I want to become a professor in future,” Sindhu replied when asked about her future plans and ambitions. “After the completion of my engineering, I will do MTech and later will enter the teaching profession,” she added. Sindhu, who has already written IIT, EEE and CET is preparing to write COMED-K, which will be held on May 9.
