2 hurt in minor clash at Sakharayapatna, 4 held

 Ravi and Lokesh, the volunteers of two major parties have been injured in the violence and are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Kamalamma, a voter came to 170/A booth to cast vote along with her son. Seeing this, one group of volunteers said that Kamalamma’s son cannot accompany her to the booth since she is healthy. The other group took objection and altercation broke out between the volunteers of two political parties. During the course of the altercation, a volunteer named Raju is said to have assaulted Ravi. When Lokesh tried to settle the dispute, he was also assaulted, which raged both the groups.

Witnesses said that the police watched the entire scene as mute spectators and did not try to stop the groups from attacking each other. Later, intervening in the fight, police arrested Navin, Raju, Nanjunda and Kitti. They have demanded the police to arrest the culprits at the earliest.
