Man dies, 3 hurt in accident

While Rudresh, who was in the front seat along with driver Mahesh, died, his brother Sudhakar, the latter's wife Vinootha, and his mother-in-law Neelamma were hurt.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the milk tanker which was parked near Kannamangala Road around 9.30 am. As the car veered off to left side of the road, Mahesh escaped unhurt, police added. Devanahalli traffic police have booked a case against Mahesh. The body was handed over to the relatives after a post-mortem at the M S Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital.

Security guard killed

In a hit and run mishap, a security guard from Bihar who was on his way on a two-wheeler to have dinner at a roadside eatery was killed on the spot when an unidentified vehicle knocked him down near Bagalur on Bellary Road on Sunday.

Manchin Kumar (26), a resident of Bagalur lay on the road for hours as nobody noticed him. His brother Dharmendra Singh went in search of him and informed the police after he found that his brother had met with an accident.

The body was taken to Bihar after the post-mortem, police said. Yelahanka traffic police have registered a case under Sections 279 and 304 (A) of the IPC. They, however, are yet to get any eye witness account.
