Lights on

Surabhi will present three shows of their play Maya Bazaar, along with two other plays Sri Krishna Leelalu and Bala Naagamma at Ranga Shankara. The plays are in Telugu. On May 21, at 7.30 pm Bala Naagamma will be staged. Sri Krishna Leelalu will be presented on May 22 (3.30 pm and 7.30 pm) while Maya Bazaar will be staged on May 23 (11 am, 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm). ‘Broken Images’

Prestige Group will present Shabana Azmi in Broken Images on June 4, 7.30 pm at Chowdiah Hall. The play is written by Girish Karnad and directed by Alyque Padamsee. Treadmill will be staged at Ranga Shankara on May 20, 7.30 pm. The playwright is Sandeep Shikhar and the director of the play is Abhishek Majumdar.

‘Huttadalli Hutta’

Antharanga is staging the 47th show of Kailasam’s famous play Huttadalli Hutta on May 21 at Ravindra Kalakshetra, J C Road. The play is directed by B V Rajaram. It is set in the British period and has characters speaking in a mix of Kannada and English.
