The right-handers added 79 runs for the second wicket after Amla, who followed up his century in the previous match, and captain Graeme Smith (37) shared an opening stand of 89 once the visitors opted to bat. Amla stroked seven fours in his 95-ball innings before falling to Jerome Taylor, who finished with figures of two wickets for 50 runs from nine overs. Kallis, playing his 300th one-dayer, struck the ball crisply and rotated the strike during his 89-ball knock in which he struck only four boundaries.
