Stress on quality education

He was speaking after distributing note books to students at a programme held at the premises of Horticulture Department, near old bus stand. The programme was organised by B R Ambedkar campaign committee. Education also enables a person to acquire self confidence and  respectability in the society, he said.

Also education can not be taken away nor can it be lost, he said. He cited role models like former president Abdul Kalam, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who achieved great heights due to knowledge.

Shivasaibaba of Harobande also addressed the gathering. Children should be provided with quality education and their latent talent sho uld be encouraged, he said.

Prof Kodi Rangappa, Ambedkar Prachar Samiti State general secretary Kalavar Sridhar, ZP social justice standing committee president A D Avalappa and others were present.
