A man drowned and died when he accidentally slipped and fell into Gurupura river on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Ashok Moodushedde (36). He slipped and fell from Adyapadi vented dam.

Police arrested two persons for attempting to sell ganja at Katipalla 7th block on Monday. The arrested are Abdul Gafoor and Mohammed Rafiq.
