Engg student dies in mishap

The deceased has been identified as Pooja Shetty, a final year civil engineering student of Nitte Institue of Technology. Nikitha Shetty has sustained injuries. Rash and negligent driving is said to be the reason for the mishap.  A case has been registered at Padubidri police station.

Cash, gold stolen

Some unidentified miscreants gained entry into Vera Maruthi Vyayama Shale at Thota bengre in Panambur and decamped with gold and silver ornaments and cash worth Rs 1.45 lakh in the wee hours of Friday.  They entered by breaking open the door lock. A case has been registered.
