JCI to 'salute silent workers' today

Speaking to press persons here on Saturday, JCI National President Santhosh Kumar P said that saluting the silent workers of the society is one of programmes by JCI that recognises unsung heroes of the society who have worked for the society’s benefit without any recognition over the years.

JCI’s extended chapter ‘JCI Krishnapura’ too will be inaugurated on the occasion, he informed.

He said JCI India will be organising various programmes such as honouring 10 outstanding young Indians (in September 2010); ‘Empowering youth,’ (to help develop soft skills among children); ‘Crusade for cleanliness’ (to propagate the message of cleanliness, health and Hygiene); ‘Campaign against corruption’ and ‘Children ambassadors to Japan’ (JCI sends 6 children ambassadors to promote cultural exchange).

JCI Zone President Uday Kumar Shetty, Zone Vice President Narayan Ballya, JCI Mangalore Central President Anitha Shenoy, JCI Mangalore Central Secretary Ashok M K were present.
