“Even MLAs from Dakshina Kannada have been opposing the river diversion project stating it as unscientific. Had the Session not adjourned, then there would have been another big fight over it in the Session. Though the government had decided to conduct a survey on ‘Konganapole project,’ in the past, now the government has decided not to implement the project,” he assured.
To a query on fire service station at Gonikoppa, he said that land has been earmarked at APMC premises. The work will commence soon.
