In her two complaints against Prabhakar, his wife Arundhati has urged an Aurangabad court to institute a probe against her husband. She also sought court’s intervention to stop Prabhakar from committing acts of domestic violence against her and to get monetory relief from him, her lawyer Nilesh Ghanekar told Deccan Herald. The court is slated to pass an order on Wednesday on her pleas. Prabhakar is currently abroad.

Arundhati, 35, is currently staying at her brother’s place in Aurangabad with her brother. She is the second wife of Prabhakar, 63, married to him since January 1, 2000. They have a son.

According to an affidavit filed along with the complaint under Domestic Violence Act, Arundhati said soon “after marriage, I learnt that Prabhakar is having sexual relations with many women and disciples of (his) organisation.” She called him a “womaniser”, and alleged her husband “used to get cosy with local volunteers and teachers and he used to have sexual relations with them”. When Arundhati objected, Prabhakar “abused and assaulted” her and threatened “to remove me from his life”.

Arundhati also alleged her husband “used to take photographs and video shoots of (her) in naked condition” and would threaten to upload the pictures on the Internet. She had shifted to Bangalore after her marriage where a son was born to her. However, after this, her life took turn for worst, she said in her affidavit, relating several instances of her husband’s illicit relations as well as the abuse she suffered.
