'I am a pure vegetarian'

As his role in the film is of a middle-class boy, Ajai is hoping that it will be well-received by the audience and will help in reviving his acting career. Ajai’s first film ‘Excuse Me’ was a hit while his another film ‘Taj Mahal’ also did well at the box-office. Sadly, after that he didn’t see a commercial hit. But then his ‘don’t give up’ attitude yielded results through ‘Krishnan...’.

The actor is a simple man in his personal life and has a desire of directing a movie in future. ‘Act local, think global’ is his mantra towards life. He spoke to Metrolife and shed light on some of his favourite things.

Food to gorge: My mantra is to eat well. I am a pure vegetarian and my favourite dishes are anna sambar and curd rice.

Fitness regime: I work on weights thrice a week and practice martial arts to keep my body in shape.

Hobbies to pursue: Reading, martial arts, watching movies and hanging out with friends.

Comfort dressing: I like to dress simply. I do wear stylish outfits but my first preference is comfort.

Vacation spots: Hospet and Hampi. I have visited these places countless times, yet I feel I have left out something.

Weekend rules: I can’t find the difference between week days and weekends. When the shooting goes on, I hardly get free time. When there is no shooting, all days are
like weekends.

Books to browse: Bhagvad Geeta. It is a lighthouse of eternal wisdom and with every reading, our thoughts are elevated.

Movies to watch: The list is big– Sholay, Anand, Saajan, Maine Pyar Kiya and Excuse Me.

All ears for: Hosabelaku Moodutide, a song from the movie, Hosabelaku. Whenever I listen to it, I get a fresh start. Other than that I like Michael Jackson.

Actors I admire: Amitabh Bachchan and Kajol.
