The incident came to light when a high-level inquiry committee of the department visited the College last Friday. The Committee found 45 of the 125 computers given to the College missing.
The Committee in its report submitted to the Director of the Department of Technical Education had recommended action against the College authorities for not lodging a police complaint despite computers missing.
The Committee has also suggested a detailed inquiry to be conducted on the issue, said Venkatswamy, one of the members of the Committee. Acting on the report, the Director has transferred the principal and also a show cause notice on him.
