His holiness, the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibetans will attend the closing ceremony of the meet on Aug 31 at Sera Lachi Monastary, Lugsum and address the delegates.
Topgyal, secretary of the Tibetan Parliamentary Secretariat said in a release that about 350 delegates representing Tibetans from around the world would attend the meeting. The opening ceremony will be held on Aug 26 at 9 am at Tibetan Dickey Larose Community hall.

Issues
The meet will deliberate on various issues such as political affairs, promotion of democracy, sustenance of the settlement, advocacy for Tibetan issue, education, health, economy, religion and culture. The closing ceremony will be held on Aug 31.

The meeting comprises three important events, Long life prayer, commemoration ceremony of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Tibetan democracy on September 2 at Seraj Jey Monastery from 8 am onwards.

About 30 members of Parliament from 14 different countries including India, ministers and legislators of Karnataka would also attend the programme, he said.
The concluding ceremony of the Tibetan National General meeting will be held on Aug 31, the release added.
