Indira Awas: '802 houses sanctioned for Kodagu'

Steps will be taken to distribute the benefits equally to all Gram Panchayats, said Zilla Panchayat President S N Rajarao.

He was speaking after distributing sewing machines to the unemployed SC/ST women of Mullusoge Gram Panchayat at Gondibasavanahalli Government Lower Primary School premises on Thursday.

He assured of discussing with the officials regarding distribution of title deeds to those who are living in and around Gondibasavanahalli for the past many years.

The Central government has approved Rs 38.39 crore fund to the district under Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Programme. It has been proposed to provide electricity to over 30,000 BPL families under the scheme, he said.

Taluk Panchayat member G R Pushpalatha assured of providing funds to construct a retaining wall for the school.

Gram Panchayat President M A Kumaraswamy presided. Members M M Prakash, Govindappa, former member Krishnappa, SDMC President Appanna and Head Mistress S K Jalajakshi were present.
