Three-day feast for Vishnu fans

12 super hit movies to be screened free of cost from Sept 17 to 19

Bharati Vishnuvardhan, wife of the late actor, told reporters here on Monday that the movies will be screened free of cost during the film festival to be held as part of his birth anniversary, from September 17 to 19.

Accompanied by former minister Shobha Karandlaje, she visited her husband’s samadhi and inspected the monument work at Abhiman Studios at Uttarahalli near Kengeri. The construction will be completed in two years, she said.  Vishuvardhan's super hit movies such as ‘Nagarahaavu’, ‘Malaya Marutha’, ‘Suprabatha’ and ‘Veerappa Nayaka’ will be screened on September 17; ‘Bandhana’, ‘Simhadri Simha’, ‘Diggajaru’ and ‘Karna’ on September 18 and ‘Yajamana’, ‘Muthina Hara’, ‘Bangarada Jinke’ and ‘Lali’ on September 19 at Inox Garuda Mall, McGrath Road, Kapali theatre and other theatres free of cost. 

Annadana, blood and eye donation programmes will also be held by Vishnu's fan club at
Abhiman Studios. The actor died of cardiac arrest on December 30.
