Norton's cyber crime report

The study ‘The Norton Cyber crime Report: The Human Impact’, said 65 per cent of internet users globally, and over 76 per cent) of Indian web surfers have fallen victim to cybercrimes.

The crime includes computer viruses, online credit card fraud and identity theft. It said India is most victimised country and is ranked behind China.

Briefing reporters, Symantec Internet Safety Advocate & Consumer Business Lead Asia Effendy Ibrahim said “In India internet users are more prone to these kinds of attack and people would not go to any authority to complaint about various attacks.”

The company also launched its latest security software suit Norton AntiVirus 2011. The new suit includes features like reputation based Security, download insight 2.0, Norton bootable recovery tool.
