Sivamani to perform at NIE

He will be accompanied by Stephan Devassy at the cultural programmes being organised by Department of Civil Engineering of the institute.

NIE is hosting ‘Aakar’ , a bi-annual technological event on September 17 and 18.
Senior Deputy Director General, Union Ministry of Communications, N S Chakravarthy is expected to inaugurate ‘Aakar’, which will be held at the Quadrangle in the college campus on Manandavadi road.

Competitions

The various competitions that will be held during Aakar are E-Prasthuthi (Internet based presentation) , Kshana Kshana (Technical ‘Just a Minute (JAM)’), Kurukshetra (The Technical Debate), Mrinmayi (A geotechnical engineering event), Pragna (Technical Quiz), Smrithi (Impromptu Technical Talk), Srushti (Creative Modelling), VAJRA (Cube strength contest) and Vinyasa (AutoCAD 3D Modelling).

Inauguration

NIE-FORCE, a forum of Civil Engineering will also be inaugurated by District In-Charge Minister Suresh Kumar on September 18 at 12 noon.

Deputy Commissioner Harsh Gupta will release an E-technical magazine on the occasion. The cultural programmes will follow at 7 pm at the NIE Diamond Jubilee Sports Complex.
