JOIN USJennifer Kotwal feels she has been getting characters that are a bit repetitive and monotonous, “I always get to play this happy, bubbly girl, why can’t someone just give me a role where I get to cry? There are people who have told me that I cry really well,” she laughs. She says she’d like to do a role similar like what actress Sridevi did in Chaalbaaz, “she (Sridevi) laughed, cried and emoted whatever other emotions she could, in the movie.
It was a wholesome exploration of the actor in her. I would like to try out something similar,” says Jennifer. Jennifer thinks that her spontaneity as an actor is her strength, “I don’t rehearse my role, it comes to me very naturally. In fact in Prince I had to perform a couple of stunts that I hadn’t done before. It’s different and stretches my talent as an actor,” she reasons.
Jennifer says she’d take up any movie in any language, including Spanish and Chinese as long as it’s entertaining and offers her something different. “I take whatever I find appropriate. I don’t go out of my way to ask people and volunteer roles. I am in no hurry,” she says.
