Addressing media persons on Monday, he said the police have arrested only three persons but have failed to arrest three others. He alleged that a BJP MLA is intervening in the issue, and hence the police have not been taking action to arrest the rest.
The procession will be taken out till the DySP’s office. Leaders Prem Kumar, Chetan Gowda, Vijaykumar will take part, Uttappa informed.
He said that activities like wood theft, gambling and illegal liquor trade are rampant in Virajpet but Police are not taking stringent measures.
