Adima resonant with 'Budganada'

Tribal classic

Famous as the first classical song-and-dance item based on the gypsy and tribal communities, Dr Balagurumurthy’s play ‘Budganada’ is refers mainly to the life and troubles of the communities.

Watching the play on Thursday night, the spectators had a new experience understanding the style of life as well as thinking of the members of the tribal communities.

Performance crew
Designed and directed by Suresh Varthur, the Janapadaru Samskritika Vedike team enacted the play. Music was directed by Rajappa. Turandahalli Srinivas, Ratnamma, Priyanka and Soni were part of the team.
Music direction, stage setting and equipment were provided by Ismail Gonal. Ramakrishna Beltur designed the costumes and presentation, Nagaraj managed light and Siddesh was the manager.

Teachers honoured
Teachers who recently won Best Teacher Awards were also felicitated during the occasion.
The National Award-winning teacher Venkateshappa, State Award-winning teacher Hanumantappa and District Award-winning teacher Narasimhayya were felicitated by students themselves.
Writer Dr Balagurumurthy and Dr Venkatesh of Kuppam University were on the dais.
Pichchalli Srinivas was the master of ceremony.
