9 teams move to the next round in Kulletira hockey tourney

Kongetira, Bovveriyanda, Bachira, Annadiyanda, Kootanda, Kangada, Machimanda, Bachira and Appacchira teams progressed towards the next round during the matches held as a part of Kulletira Cup Hockey Tournament , at General K S Thimayya stadium on Thursday.

In a tie-breaker, Kongetira gained victory over Pattacheruvanda by 5-3. Bovveriyanda beat Kondengada by 3-0 with the goals scored by Jeethan Kalappa and Sachin Muthanna.

Bachira defeated Chendrimada by 3-0. Sanchina Ponnanna and Chengappa secured the goals for the winning team. Annadiyanda defeated Napanda by 3-0. Somanna, Vikas Uttaiah and Navin Nachappa secured the goals.

Other results

Kootanda bear Boppanada by 4-0. Ajjettira defeated Kanganda by 3-1. Machimanda won against Allanda by 2-0. Appacchira beat Berera by 2-1.

As the annual festival of Makki Sri Shasthavu Temple in Bethu village will be held today (Friday), no matches will be conducted. ‘Pommakkada Namme’ will be held in the stadium, said the organisers.
