BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa said he will take the responsibility of supplying water to Ayyanakere in Sakharayanapattana.

Speaking during the BJP election campaign at Government PU College ground in Sakharayapattana in Kadur on Thursday, he said he is confident of taking oath as Chief Minister on May 18. Rs one lakh crore will be earmarked towards irrigation. 62 lakes including Ayyanakere will be filled through Hebbe project.

He further said that students will be provided free education till graduation. Corn will be purchased from farmers with Rs 1500 support price. A 5,000 crore fund will be instituted to provide good price for farmers during the fall of market rates, he added.

MP Shobha Karandlaje said that the coming election will be between the truth and the false. The big achievement of Siddaramaiah government is dividing Veerashaiva and Lingayat communities. The main agenda of Congress is divide and rule, she said.

Candidate C T Ravi said that the Karagada project sanctioned during the tenure of Yeddyurappa government , is now sanctioned. The water would flow into the dam only after rains. When the detailed project report was prepared towards the rejuvenation of 63 lakes, the Siddaramaiah government refused to provide funds.

Leaders Kote Ranganath, Biruru Devraj, Lakshman Nayak, ZP President Vijay Kumar, Ishwarahalli Mahesh, Belavadi Ravindra and Nayak Krishnaswamy were present.
