A 45-year-old techie murdered his wife and daughter before attempting to kill himself at his residence in Vijayanagar Fourth Stage, here on Wednesday.
Prajwal killed his wife Savita (38) and Sinchana (10) by slitting their throat on May 23. He stayed with the dead bodies for a day and tried to kill himself by slitting his throat on May 24.
The incident came to light when he called his father and informed about the incident. Prajwal is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Prajwal, a native of Nanjangud and Savita of KR Pet, both software engineers, were married ten years back. They were working in Bengaluru till recently.
According to the police, Prajwal was under depression as he lost his job after the company locked out. Even Savitha resigned from her job. After Prajwal could not land a job, the couple shifted from Bengaluru to Mysuru, recently.
