Congress talking about 'separating' Karnataka from India, PM claims in his last campaign rally

He also said that the Congress indulges in polarisation, vote bank politics and dividing different communities for its selfish gains

Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged that Congress is trying to seperate Karnataka from India. He was addressing his last election rally of this assembly polls in the State at Yelachagere Bore of Nanjangud taluk, Mysuru district on Sunday evening.

He said, "On Saturday, a Congress leader said that they will make Karnataka Sovereign. Karnataka is a part of India as Kuvempu says, "Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujaathe", so it is sovereign when India became independent. So they plan to separate Karnataka from it. This is an insult to freedom fighters and patriots."

He also said, "Congress indulges in polarisation, vote bank politics and dividing different communities for its selfish gains."

The PM, while campaigning in the poll-bound state, also alleged, "Congress holds secret meetings with foreign diplomats of our enemy countries, supports those indulges in terrorism. Where there are more culprits, where there is no protection and increase in crime, law and order issue, there won't be investment and there cannot be development. So Congress should be defeated".

He further said, "When India was trying to rescue people of Hakki Pikki community from Sudan, Congress thought it would not be possible and they can blame BJP for it, for political benefits. But we rescued all of them," PM Modi said.

The PM also lambasted Congress in strong words and termed its governments as '85 per cent commission sarkara'. He said that he is getting money for new infrastructure like expressway, airports and others with the people's money, which Congress looted with 85 per cent commission.

Modi pointed out, "The then prime minister and Congress leader Rajiv Gandhi admitted in a public meeting that in the central schemes, only 15 per cent out of 100 paisa reached the beneficiaries. What kind of develoment can happen with just 15 per cent remaining money?"

He also blasted Congress's guarantees and said, "the biggest guarantee given by Congress by its Prime Minister was to alleviate poverty 'Gareebi hatao'. But has it been fulfilled? Their guarantees are a lie."
