West Bengal Elections Highlights: 34 constituencies to go to polls in 7th phase, fate of 284 candidates to be sealed

BJP President J P Nadda said that Mamata Banerjee is getting restless, having seen BJP's victory in the state. Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee on Saturday attacked the BJP for allegedly organising campaign rallies flouting the Election Commissions Covid-19 safety protocols amid surging cases, and urged the poll panel to take note of it. Six phases of polling have concluded in Bengal, and Covid-appropriate campaigning continues in the state.

Security measures have been heightened in view of the violence in the previous phases, particularly the death of five people in Cooch Behar in the fourth round of polling on April 10, an Election Commission official said.
