Tollywood star Ram Charan will soon be collaborating with popular director Shankar for a pan-India movie to be backed by Dil Raju. According to a report carried by Gulte, the magnum opus may be shot on a budget of Rs 150 crore. This is a pretty moderate figure by Shankar standards as his previous movie 2.0, starring 'Superstar' Rajinikanth and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, was shot on a budget of Rs 500 crore.

The general perception is that the film may be able to recover the investment pretty easily as the ace filmmaker enjoys a strong fan following in most markets due to pan-India movies such as Enthiran and 2.0. His 2005 release Anniyan too is reasonably popular in the Hindi belt.

The 'Mega Power Star' too enjoys a strong fan following due to his work in Magadheera and Rangasthalam. The buzz is that actor Rashmika Mandanna is being considered to play the leading lady in the film. Her association with the biggie may help it make a strong impact in Karnataka.

Shankar, meanwhile, will soon be resuming work on the Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2. The film is a sequel to the 1996 classic Indian/Hindustani and revolves around an aged freedom fighter's war against corruption. It stars Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady and marks her first collaboration with the Hey Ram actor. There have also been talks of the I helmer teaming up with Ranveer Singh for a Hindi movie.

Charan, on the other hand, will soon be seen essaying a key role in his father 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's movie Acharya. The film revolves around the journey of a 'saviour' and is slated to release in theatres in May. He also has the SS Rajamouli-directed movie Rise Roar Revolt (RRR), co-starring Jr NTR, in his kitty. The film is touted to be bigger than the Baahubali saga and highlights the fictional adventures of two real freedom fighters. It is slated to hit the screens on October 13.
