Actor Prabhas will soon be seen in the romantic drama Radhe Shyam, one of the most talked-about films of the year. According to the latest reports, the movie's overseas rights have been sold for Rs 22 crore.

The general perception is that this is a good figure despite being less than the Rs 42 crore fetched by the Tollywood hero's previous release Saaho as Radhe Shyam is a family-friendly entertainer and not a mass movie.

The film, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar of Jil fame, explores the theme of reincarnation while highlighting the bond between two lovers. It features Prabhas in a classy new avatar, which has piqued the curiosity of the fans. It stars Pooja Hegde as the leading lady and marks her first collaboration with 'Darling'. The Maharshi star, who has shared screen space with the likes of Jr NTR and Allu Arjun, is going through a terrific phase on the work front and the inside talk is that Radhe Shyam may establish her as a bonafide superstar.

The Hindi-Telugu bilingual was expected to hit the screens last year but that did not happen due to the Covid-19 pandemic. One is likely to get clarity on the new release date once the teaser is launched on February 14.

Prabhas, meanwhile, will soon be turning his attention to the action-drama Salaar that marks his first collaboration with KGF helmer Prashanth Neel. He is gearing up to play Lord Ram in the Bhushan Kumar-backed movie Adipurush, an adaptation of the Ramayana. The magnum opus, to be directed by Tanhaji director Om Raut, stars Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist 'Lankesh' and marks his Tollywood debut. He also has a movie with Bollywood star Deepika Padukone in his kitty.

Pooja, on the other hand, will be seen in the Bollywood movies Cirkus and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
