A music video starring a memorable elephant named Chirakkal Kaalidasan is going viral. Kaalidasan, who plays a central role, had earlier mesmerised audiences with his striking features in the superhit movie 'Bahubali 2'.

The song that goes with the lines "Indrapala padasheershamoo…" casts the elephant, Kaalidasan, as the hero. This video is creating goosebumps for 'Bahubali' fans and elephant lovers across the world.

The video draws out the true allure of Kaalidasan and when combined with a melodious song and stunning visuals depicting the Kerala culture like Pooram, Theyyam; the near five-minute music video is a real treat for viewers.

Comments from elephant lovers are pouring in about the video. Director Sivaprasad Kashimankulam told DH that he is an ardent elephant lover and aspiring filmmaker. His long-term wish has come true through the song.

"Elephant lovers are complaining for not featuring Kaalidasan's mahout Sharat (Mambi), but he was too shy to face the camera. So we had to look for someone else. All the actors have a great obsession with elephants." said Kashimankulam.

Kaalidasan was born in Karnataka and later brought to Kerala. He's now a major attraction at temple festivals. Kaalidasan has a popular Facebook page and fan clubs in Kerala.
