<p>Malayalam film actor Jagathy Sreekumar, who underwent an emergency surgery after being seriously injured in a road accident, is in stable condition and has been responding to the treatment, doctors said on Sunday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“The condition of Sreekumar is stable. He is holding on and responding to medicines well and that is a good sign,” Dr Abdulla Cheriakkat, MD of Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences, told reporters. However, the 61-year-old actor, who suffered multiple injuries in chest, abdomen, legs, would continue to remain on ventilator for another 48 hours, he said.<br /><br />Sreekumar, who has acted in over 1,000 films met with an accident when he was going to Kodagu in Karnataka for the shooting of a new movie when his car rammed into the road median.</p>
