Finally, something different. Someone dared to use the ‘S’ word in the title, and comes up with some real and raw content. Must say, LSD is daring.

Three stories unfold and intersect one another as cameras (handheld, spy and security) capture love, sex and dhokha in two hours. Director Dibakar Banerjee goes fully digital, and the end product is alien to Bollywood. No one is complaining.

The first story has film students Anshuman Jha and Shruti scripting their own DDLJ. And in true Aditya Chopra style, the rich and flashy father spoils the show.  The second story is more real with voyeurism and MMS scandals as fodder. Here, the love-sex-dhokha is played between two department store employees Raj Kumar Yadav and Neha Chauhan. Shockingly real.

In the third story, a sting-hungry journalist uses an item girl to expose a weird pop star with a weirder name, Loki Local. Here, Arya Devdutta (real gem) wields the camera against the casting couch. She depicts the exploited woman with courage and conviction. Loud applause.  LSD defies the formula and is worth a watch for the same reason.
