<p>After trying his hands at singing and dancing, Shaan is looking forward to make his acting debut with comedy movie 'Balwinder Singh Famous Hogaya'.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The 40-year-old singer is currently shooting for the film, which is directed by Sunil Agnihotri and also stars singer Mika Singh.<br /><br />"I am excited about acting in a movie. The title is 'Balwinder Singh Famous Hogaya', it is a light comedy. Acting has always been on my mind and I always wanted to give it a shot," Shaan told PTI.<br /><br />The 'Tanha Dil' hitmaker is currently busy with dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6' on Colors and is being touted as one of the strong contenders.<br /><br />"The idea of doing this show was to try something new but at the same time not become a laughing stock. I was open to dancing and wanted to groove a little but I never thought I will be competing with professional dancers. It is a difficult job because some of them are professional dancers," he added.<br /><br />Shaan admits the show is taking a toll on his family life and he is guilty of not spending enough time with his two children.<br /><br />"Family life has taken a back seat. I used to always take my kids out during their summer break but this time we didn't go anywhere. So I feel very guilty about it. But they are very supportive and more than thrilled to see me perform on TV," he added.<br />Shaan says experimenting with dancing and acting was a conscious decision as he did not want to wait for phone calls for work.<br /><br />"By now, I have done my work as a singer, earned my respect and now to go on waiting for a phone call for next project is not my thing. I would rather be a little pro active and do things that I always wanted to do."</p>
