Singer Arijit Singh to turn director debut with Pan-India jungle adventure film

Arijit Singh, one of Indian cinema’s most beloved voices with countless chart-toppers to his credit, is now set to explore a new creative path. After captivating audiences for over 15 years with his soulful singing, the acclaimed artist is turning director. Arijit is all set to direct a Pan-India jungle adventure film, reportedly produced by Mahaveer Jain under the Mahaveer Jain Films.

A source close to the project said, “Yes, Arijit Singh is all set to become a director. He will be directing a unique jungle adventure film. Mahaveer Jain is producing the film and he’s excited about this ambitious project. They are ensuring that this project to be one visual spectacle and ensuring that the movie appeals to the Pan-India audience.”

“The casting and preparation are underway. The team plans to announce the film once the casting and title are locked. Until now, Arijit Singh has set the stage ablaze with his performances as a singer, due to which he’s also a top artist on Spotify. Now, he is gearing up to surprise everyone with his directorial move,” the source further added.

Arijit Singh’s directorial debut is co-written by him and Koyel Singh.The film is produced by Sudipta Bhattacharya, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Bala Saheb Darade under Mahaveer Jain Films and Alokdyuti Films, with God Bless Entertainment serving as co-producer.

On the other hand, Mahaveer Jain is known for producing cinematic spectacles, in the past, he has produced movies like Dekh Indian Circus (2011), Chalo Jeetey Hain (2018), Malaal (2019), Khandaani Shafakhana (2019), Uunchai (2022), Ram Setu (2022), Good Luck Jerry (2022) and Binny and Family (2024). Up next is NaagZilla starring Kartik Aaryan, alongside White, an international biopic-thriller based on the life of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, with Vikrant Massey in the lead.
