Ex-commissioner of Udupi CMC suspended

Former commissioner of Udupi City Municipal Council Manjunathaiah has been placed under suspension for amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Manjunathaiah is currently working as senior lecturer of Mangaluru Teachers Training Institute.

Acting on a tip off, Udupi Anti Corruption Bureau officers had raided the house and property of Manjunathaiah on December 27, 2018.

As the charges have been proved, he has been placed under suspension, sourced said.
